Jasmine's Playplace

I used this great Cardtable Playhouse pattern from Empty Bobbin's blog.
The pattern was easy to follow and fun to customize.

Jasmine's colors are pink and purple. I think she'll love playing in her own playplace!

Now, she needs some mail for her mailbox.

This is by far the pinkest thing I've ever made.

Sewing Machines and Studio Bits

I've been upgrading, repositioning, and rearranging the studio
for maximum sewing pleasure.

Here's the quilt rack I finally assembled. It's a Grace Z44.
It's been mocking me for a month or so now.
Once I figure out how to load the quilts on this monster, there'll be no stopping me!

Here's a few shots of Grams' sewing machine.
This is a Singer 329K.

It sews like a dream.
This is an entry-level bells-and-whistles Baby Lock Grace.

It's nice & light. It makes great stitches.
A White Serger Superlock 2000. Groovy seams!
Janome Coverpro 900. groovier seams! all knit all the time.
Both the coverstitch and serger on Grams' potting table I refinished.
My super workhorse - Juki TL98Q in a nifty race car red dust cover...

And a bonus new fabric storage cabinet:

Grams' potting table... complete!

Grams' potting table is finally refinished! The drawer interior might get another coat of poly, so that will be photographed later.
The stripping, sanding, priming, painting, and reassembling are finished and I'm pleased.
There will be no more paint chips dropping from this piece.
Fancy new handle from Home Depot.
I kept the table top's rich patina.
Overall, I'm glad I chose to keep it white. Below are the "before" photos:

Grams' potting table... refinishing update

The arduous task of stripping is complete and I'm now sanding.
It's coming along!
I still haven't decided on a color... but I have found a new-to-me product: Milk Paint.
I bought some samples and will try it on scrap wood first, to see if will make the finish I like.
